So when it comes to cakes these days, you may notice that just about every bakery out there uses fondant to cover and decorate their creations. This is because fondant is easy to roll out and shape using the decorators own hands and tools, but it is usually not consumed...people peel it off and toss the decor before serving. Such a waste!
