While all of the Academy Award madness was going on this weekend, the other side of the bakery was working on more of our specialty cake orders.

GBK Had More Oscar Nominees, Presenters and Winners Than any Other Gifting Suite
Celebrities came out in full force to support the Charities at GBK Oscar Lounge.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) February 24, 2009 -- GBK introduced a new way to give and the Celebrities certainly appreciated the opportunity to meet the various charities involved. GBK's Academy Award Gift Lounge- "Circus of The Senses" held on February 20 & 21, 2009 at the SLS Hotel donated 20% of Proceeds to its Benefiting Charitable Organizations: Director Antoine Fuqua's Fuqua Films Program; Homeless Not Toothless, Hollywood Dreamz, and Worldteam Foundation.

Actor Adrian Brody said, "The only reason I came to this suite was to support the non-profits."

Numerous celebrities, VIPs, and Media came out for the same reason. While there, they also had an opportunity to experience 'A Circus of The Senses' as they touched, felt, smelt, tasted and walked their way through this Academy Awards Themed Gift Suite. They started out by seeing a magnificent Oscar themed cake from Hansen's. With help from Freshwata designs, and flowers from My Flower Guy, each gift room represented the theme and décor from a 2009 Academy Awards Nominated Best Film: 'Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' 'Frost/Nixon,' 'Milk,' 'Slumdog Millionaire,' 'The Reader'. The SLS Hotel provided hors d' oeuvres and sweets from famed chef José Andrés, including homemade Bon-Bon's topped with "Oscar" Gold Dust.

'Tis the Season...

"Tis the Season...for Awards Shows!

We're thrilled to again be a part of GBK's fabulous award Gifting Suite to the Stars...Academy Award-style this time around!
Besides creating another of our amazing show-stopping monster cakes, we'll be on hand at the event serving up slices of these homage-to-Best-Picture cakes.

This particular cake holds a rich marble cake with our chocolate chip butter creme filling...


...while this sheet is made up of Bridal White cake with Champagne Custard filling. Umm-Yumm!

While this bad-boy was delivered to the Beverly Hilton to showcase our favorite Radio group's FIFTIETH anniversary.

The Last Time We Saw Paris...

Our Cupcake Ambassador Allie Finer, spotted one of our favorite clients, Paris Hilton, in front of our Beverly Hills location late yesterday afternoon. She immediately brought Ms. Hilton over a six-pack of our fresh Valentine's Day Cupcakes, which elicited a warm hug.

We love you Paris!

Paris also took a moment to use her professional eye to help Michael & Paul adjust their new photo in our showcase in the Beverly Hills location breezeway.

Michael Willms is working on creating a window that will give our passers-by a taste of Entertainment Design Events & Hansen's Cakes style.

Here's a grand cake we made for the NAACP event this week. The tiered tower was parked on the Red Carpet for the show prelude, then served up to the guests at the event. Yum!

Yesterday we had a visit from a long time loyal customer, to our revamped Beverly Hills showroom. She was so pleased with the new look of the shop, that she had to take a personal moment to drink it all in (then, of course, she indulged in some fresh cake samples for old times sake.)
