A Cake is Born...

Introducing our newest wedding cake design: Cherry Blossom.
The cake tiers are hand cut into the octagonal shapes, then carefully stacked and airbrushed with a soft metallic edible gold.
Delicious chocolate branches are piped on by our artist, and the delicate cherry blossoms carefully placed.
Detail piping is added and touched up for the perfect effect....call for pricing!

Red Roses always make a girl feel special. This design also allows for a pretty heady taste rush as well! There are no thorns on these long stemmed American Beauties.

Now this is a real treat: a seldom seen look at our very newest wedding cake design in progress. This is the first incarnation of this fresh model...sorry to tease, but you'll have to wait to see how it comes along.

To quote the Mayor of Beverly Hills, "Smart City, Smart Schools, Smart Cars"...Barry Brucker eloquently spoke at today's Beverly Hills Mercedes Benz/BHEF Classic Car event. We were thrilled to be able to provide a "Smart Cake" for this dynamic fund-raiser!
There were Smart Cars everywhere...each more adorable than the one next to it.
Even after being out on display in the sunny Beverly Hills climate for seven hours, our cake still looked gorgeous. Hansen's Cakes is unique in that the all natural ingredients are able be out unrefrigerated without spoiling! No worries about a melted cake here.

Jose put on his "Muffin Man" hat today, creating this oversized chocolate chip muffin, hand sculpted out of our cake. Cool texture.
We love this faux-Gucci bag. This is one purse that is never out of season!

Halloween really is coming up on us sooner than later. We have a spooktacular array of hauntingly beautiful cakes for your little boys and ghouls to enjoy.

Cupcakes on Parade, plus...

When we make cupcakes. we like to add the perfect finishing touch to the look.
Besides embellishing the delicious morsels with colored sugar, piped on characters, or little plastic doodads, we're now happy to offer the option of a customized mini-flag to adorn the peak of frosting.

These darling banners can be personalized with a name or logo, and modified to coordinate with your party's color scheme.

We've had a lot of phone calls asking about what the owner of this establishment looks like...well, here he is: Patrick Hansen, the seventh generation of Hansens' to be in charge of this heavenly little bake shop. No, he doesn't just sit around in the office sipping on a latte, he is right back there every day in the trenches with everyone else. Patrick is the only baker in Southern California with FDA, City, County and State Approval, and is a graduate of the American Institute of Baking as well. Talk about a pedigree!

Elmo is a favorite of both young and old cake enthusiasts alike. This version is a fully dimensional piped on creation. Though Elmo himself is not completely edible, he is fully lick-able!

Our friends at Silver Charm Events are throwing a heck of a bridal bash at L.A.'s hippest new architectural delight, The Hollywood, and Hansen's Cakes is going to be there!
