The boys are all right...

Visiting all the way from New Hampshire, cousin Charles is joining young Will Hansen in the back of the bakery this week. These two hard-working teens are making their families very proud on a daily basis.

What's been going on?
We made a Bon Voyage attache case for Izze (not fondant with edible luggage labels...)
Then had a nice visit with Miss Tanja, who frosted up her very first bakery cupcake (after hours of course....)

Love in a box...

A box filled with roses? What lady wouldn't enjoy a gift like that for their birthday.
.
Even better if the box is made of fresh white cake filled with fresh strawberries and whipped creme!
.
Well, this particular box filled with roses is of that "even better" variety. It even shines with a opalescent glow! We made it for a very special (celebrity) birthday girl, who we hope will get a bit of pleasure out of it.

We love Tori & Dean...

Hollywood beckoned...

When they needed a cake to celebrate the installation of a "Star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, we got the call. An official variance was granted so we could create the cake using the trademarked artwork, coming up with this delicious design.

.

Who is getting the derserved recognition? Why, none other than the multi-talented and much missed George Harrison!

Cool Cake, Cool Movie...

Did you see the #1 movie this weekend? The Hannah Montana Movie features a special Sweet Sixteen Cake created by bakers-to-the-stars, (ahem) Hansen's Cakes!
Here, Princess of Pastry, Hansen dynasty's little lady Sabine Hansen adds some finishing touches to the behemoth cake.

Voila!

For another special presentation today, this smooth-as-glass butter creme creation should make quite the impression!

Friends...

To celebrate the promotional transfer of our friend Ramona (from the American Girl Store Cafe) away from the Los Angeles location to their new Boston hot spot, we created this Bon Voyage suitcase made out of cake.

Our loss is Boston's gain!

An interlude...

Cake: The final frontier.

We've been getting creative with our cupcakes...there is truly no limit to what our artists can make for you in butter creme.
I especially like the ladybugs!

And speaking of cupcakes, look who the cupcake ambassador was hanging with last night (opening night of Adventureland in Century City)...none other than the friendliest mayor in the USA, Antonio Villaraigosa!
Oh Mayor, ready for some fresh Hansen's Cake?

Cross-Pollination...

Who popped in to pick up a special Tiffany Box birthday cake? Our bestest hockey man ever, Luc Robataille and son. They could not have been nicer people. Hope the party is fabulous!

American Girl on South Beverly Drive...

We've just collaborated with one of our very favorite clients, The American Girl Store at The Grove, and event guru Michael Willms, to bring a bit of the American Girl party to our Beverly Hills Showroom!
I don't know if you know this, but Hansen's Cakes is the bakery who makes all of the fabulous American Girl birthday party cakes!

Come on by and take a peek (and try one of our free sample bites!)

We just made a very festive Lilo & Stitch cake for another client...so much fun!

One of our most requested cakes, this pearlescent princess design, was created for a 10th birthday today. Isn't it lovely?

People have been asking to see what we are doing at our main showroom on Fairfax...another Michael Willms transformation (still in progress, but who could wait!)
