2009: Winding down

It's hard to believe that 2009 is almost over, and we're going to have to remember to write 2010 on all of our upcoming orders!
.
We've had a remarkable cake year, filled with celebrity weddings, corporate shindigs, and friends both old & new's celebrations. Our guest appearances on myriad television shows have been a delight (with more to come in the next year!) and we're thrilled with all the decor changes Michael Willms lavished upon us.
.
This new year s bringing some more changes to our sweet world...keep your eyes peeled for some fresh excitement on our website over the next few weeks!
.
We look forward to seeing you at our showroom, or at one of the upcoming bridal shows this new season.
.
Happy New Year!

What if...

What if the entire fleet of LAPD cruisers wore our Hansen's Cakes black & white logo on the sides of the patrol cars? We think that this would probable distract the would-be criminals into thinking about fresh cake instead of committing heinous crimes.
Our commander-in-chief Patrick Hansen is shown here sharing this idea with some of our favorite police friends this past weekend.
It's nice to have friends!
A special shout out to Hansen's Cakes First Daughter, Miss Sabine, who celebrated her thirteenth birthday this weekend with a Scooby Doo themed cake. Happy Birthday Sabine!!!

Beverly High’s PTSA Hosts Turkey For Teachers
Beverly High’s Parent Teacher Student Association hosted a Superheroes-themed Thanksgiving luncheon to give thanks to the 300-plus teachers and
staff for their hard work and dedication to the students. Food was brought in by parents from locations such as Factor’s Deli and Hansen’s Cakes, with entertainment provided by the Madrigal Singers and Minnesigners, as well as the Chamber Orchestra.

Football Banquet:

"HAVING THEIR CAKE—The banquet also gave
senior players the change to celebrate their final
season by tackling the Norman football helmet cake donated by Patrick Hansen and Hansen’s Bakery.

Industry Event Sublime!

We were so flattered when we got the call from An Catering (Crustacean) asking us if we'd like to be the featured dessert at the Petersen Museum ABC/ISIS Professionals Event last night. What an honor!

After a brain-storming session with the Petersen, we came up with this cake: a Hansen's version of the Petersen Museum's signature vehicle...a round door Rolls Royce!

We also made a show-stopping five-tiered Winter Wonderland cake that stood tall in the spotlight in the best part of the ballroom. The compliments just kept on coming all night!

Our famous marble cake with chocolate chip filling was served up to each and every guest (the roar of the raves was deafening!) What a fabulous evening!
