Goings on...

Favorite Hansen-in-law Kathy popped over for a visit yesterday. Kathy was a key decorator here at the bakery back in the day, but left when her daughter Kelly was young to challenge herself in other avenues.
.
Kathy has a free pass to come and delight us with her artistic styling whenever she feels the need. Yesterday she whipped out a cool cake for an event she was throwing, creating it in no time. We like the tombstone. Once a decorator, always a decorator.
.
You can see one of our favorite Kathy-designs on our web site's home page (the detailed, hand-painted 3-tier black & white wedding cake that everybody is talking about.)
Kathy now works (out and at) Gold's Gym...but once a decorator, always a decorator!
.
Pam went all Cheetah-licious on us again, coming up with the perfect Cheetah print on our smooth white butter creme.

We just love doing animal prints and what-not.

Bring it on!

May we have a drum roll please...
Now if we can just change the subject for a moment...
.
.

And now for something completely different.
.
Here's a glimpse at the major renovation underway at our closed-for-two-weeks-Beverly Hills Showroom. You'll be so happy when you see the revitalized "Atelier du Drapier!"
.
The design is the brainchild of Hansen's Cakes "inspirator," Michael Willms. More about our collaboration when we're all ready. You are going to be so surprised with the big news that we have in store for you!
